All Scottsdale's senior citizens who know that age is just a number are in for a treat with a number of events line up to cater to those basking in the golden glow of that fourth wind. Here's what's in store.

On Thursday, July 18, at 10am discover the rich and vibrant world of American Indian art, from traditional artworks to contemporary creations, live events and a world-class museum shop and café. Hold on to your hats, it's 'Twisters'

On July 23, it's movie day at Harkins Theater, which will be screening 'Twisters' the sequel to the 1990 hit 'Twister' (RIP Bill Paxton) at 1pm. Please contact the Granite Reef Senior Center at 480-312-1700 or the Via Linda Senior Center at 480-312-5810 to register.

The art of crafts

If you're more of a creator than an observer then the 39th Annual Arts & Craft Fair is the thing for you. Applications will be available online at 8.m Monday, July 29, to reserve your eight-foot table inside or outside the Granite Reef Senior Center.

The cost for individual vendors is $65 per table, individual vendors (two or more tables) is $55 per table, business vendors is $80 per table The fair will take place from 9am–2pm Saturday, November 2, at Granite Reef Senior Center.

Bingo!

It's Bingo time every Friday from 9–11am at the Granite Reef Senior Center. No registration required, just show up and be prepared to shout.

In-person lunches are offered at both Via Linda and Granite Reef senior centers. Monthly lunch menus are available. Meals are provided fresh, and reservations are required. The cost is $4 for seniors 55 and older and $7 for everyone else. And in case you wanted some chat with your canapes, there are pre-lunchtime activities and socializing between 9-11am Monday through Friday.

Lunches vary by times, below are the days and times lunch will be served:

Via Linda Senior Center: 480-312-5810 

Tuesday and Thursday; doors open at 11am.
