Washington D.C.: Florida Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna has strongly denied a report alleging that former President Donald Trump made an inappropriate offer to her during a flight on his campaign plane in 2023.

The report, detailed in Axios reporter Alex Isenstadt’s upcoming book 'Revenge: The Inside Story of Trump’s Return to Power', claims Trump offered Luna, who was pregnant at the time, the chance to rest in the bed on his plane while joking that she shouldn’t tell his wife, Melania. Luna called the report “distasteful” and “gross", insisting that the interaction was respectful and compassionate.

In a post on X, Luna explained that she was experiencing symptoms of preeclampsia, a potentially life-threatening pregnancy complication, during the flight. She praised Trump for his kindness, stating that he offered her the use of the plane’s back room to rest if needed.

“He did this in a respectful way and in front of my husband, of which we thanked him,” Luna wrote. She also noted that Trump assured her a medical team was on board in case of an emergency.

The report, excerpted in The Daily Beast, alleged that Trump told Luna, “If you need a bed to lay down in, there’s one here on the plane. If you feel sick and you need to lay there, you can lay on it,” before adding, “Just don’t tell Melania. She doesn’t like other women on my bed.”

Luna dismissed the account as a mischaracterization, accusing Isenstadt of failing to reach out to her for comment. “This book is likely going to be a s*** hit piece,” she wrote, urging those in Trump’s orbit to cut ties with the author.

Luna is married to Andrew Gamberzky,  a former Air Force intelligence officer and a veteran who has served in various capacities, including as a defense contractor.
