AZCC and Circular Arizona team-up to clean-up in major partnership
Phoenix, Arizona: Circular Arizona has announced its newest partnership with the Arizona Composting Council, with the aim of advancing sustainable organics management and promoting a circular economy across Arizona.
Together, Circular Arizona and the Arizona Composting Council will work to advocate for expanded composting initiatives, reduced landfill contributions, and improved soil health.
Dr. Joe Roselle, President of the Arizona Composting Council, said, “We at the Arizona Composting Council are excited about the possibility of joining the Circular Arizona Council. Our mission aligns closely with the Council’s goals, as we strive to empower Arizonans to manage their organic waste sustainably through accessible, affordable, and innovative composting practices.”
The partnership will also prioritize environmental equity by promoting access to composting resources and education across all Arizona communities. The Arizona Composting Council will offer workshops, programs, and educational resources to raise awareness of the significant benefits of composting, including improved soil health, reduced waste, and a more robust circular economy for Arizona.
"By working with the Arizona Composting Council, Circular Arizona is advancing critical aspects of the circular economy that benefit both people and the environment,” said Terrence Gellenbeck, Circular Arizona’s board chair. “Together, we will broaden opportunities for composting and strengthen Arizona’s transition toward a circular economy."
This partnership was led by Lauren Click of Let's Go Compost, who sits on the boards of both the Arizona Composting Council and Circular Arizona.
