Elon Musk throws Trump out with the bath water as massive meltdown send Tesla shares plummeting

Washington D.C.: The bromance is officially over! Elon Musk has typed in the nuclear codes, pressed the big red button and gone full mushroom cloud on President Donald Trump.
The relationship imploded after Musk took aim at Trump's 'Big Beautiful Bill' calling it an 'abomination'. Trump, during a press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, accused Musk of being upset over policy shifts, including the rollback of electric vehicle (EV) mandates—which hurt Tesla—and the rejection of Musk’s preferred NASA nominee, Jared Isaacman.
“Elon’s upset because we took the EV mandate… and they want us to pay billions in subsidies,” Trump said.
Musk, the world’s richest man, publicly endorsed Trump following the July 13 assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, and donated approximately $290 million to his campaign. He also joined Trump on the campaign trail in October, standing beside him during a return visit to Butler.

However, Trump dismissed Musk’s influence on Thursday, insisting he would have won Pennsylvania regardless, partly because Vice President Kamala Harris did not select Governor Josh Shapiro as her running mate. “I would have won by a lot,” Trump asserted.
Musk fired back on X, calling Trump’s claim “laughable” and stating, “Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House, and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate.” He added, “Such ingratitude,” signaling his frustration.
Musk also hit back at Trump’s claim that he [Musk] had seen the controversial bill before it was sent ot the House. “False, this bill was never shown to me,” Musk wrote, criticizing its rushed passage. He also pinned a 2013 Trump tweet criticizing debt ceiling extensions to his profile, further fueling tensions.
Trump expressed disappointment, suggesting Musk was suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” a term he uses for critics who turn against him. “People leave my administration and miss it so badly… they become hostile,” he said.
The public spat sent Tesla shares down 8%. Just days earlier, Trump had hosted Musk for an Oval Office farewell, praising their relationship.
