Washington D.C.: White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has expressed full confidence in President Trump’s national security team Tuesday, despite revelations that The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg was accidentally added to a sensitive Signal group chat involving top officials.

“President Trump absolutely has full confidence in his national security team,” Leavitt told Fox News, praising National Security Adviser Mike Waltz and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth for their efforts in combating terrorism. She emphasized the administration’s aggressive stance against Houthi militants, contrasting it with the Biden administration’s policies. “We are now killing these terrorists… and Americans are safer because of it,” she said.

Pushing back against criticism, Leavitt accused Democrats of exaggerating the incident for political gain.

The Press secretary downplayed the significance of Goldberg’s inclusion in the chat, suggesting it could have been either an accident or “something more mischievous” on the reporter’s part. She confirmed that the White House, along with experts from Elon Musk’s team, is investigating the breach to prevent future incidents. “We are moving forward to ensure communications are secure,” Leavitt said.

Pushing back against criticism, Leavitt accused Democrats of exaggerating the incident for political gain. “The Democrats would have you believe we have a national security crisis when we absolutely do not,” she said, comparing the situation to past controversies like the Russia investigation and classified documents case.

She dismissed 'The Atlantic' as a “dying magazine” and urged Americans to trust Trump’s leadership.

When asked if the controversy had slowed the administration’s momentum, Leavitt insisted the White House remains “laser-focused” on its priorities, including border security, energy production, and economic recovery.  “We are moving full speed ahead,” she declared, vowing not to let media scrutiny derail their agenda.

President Trump has dismissed the leak as a minor “glitch", defending Waltz and questioning Goldberg’s credibility. Meanwhile, Goldberg is considering releasing the chat logs to verify his account, raising further questions about the administration’s handling of sensitive information.
