WASHINGTON D.C.: Lara Trump, daughter-in-law of President Donald Trump, has intensified calls for greater transparency regarding the Jeffrey Epstein case. Speaking on a conservative podcast hosted by Trump ally Benny Johnson, she urged the administration to release more documents related to Epstein, the disgraced financier who died by suicide in jail while awaiting trial for sex trafficking charges.

“I do think that there needs to be more transparency on this, and I think that that will happen,” Lara Trump said, adding that any releases would avoid harming witnesses or minors. She expressed hope that the administration would provide additional information “sooner rather than later.”

Her comments come amid growing tension within the MAGA movement, with conspiracy theories about Epstein’s death and potential cover-ups continuing to circulate online. Lara Trump sought to calm fears, insisting there was “no great plot” and suggesting the release of information had been “slow-rolled” for understandable reasons.

The controversy deepened after the Department of Justice denied the existence of an Epstein “client list” and released jail footage purportedly confirming Epstein’s suicide—though critics note the video’s gaps. Attorney General Pam Bondi’s memo concluded no further arrests would occur, disappointing many Trump supporters and fueling internal disputes.

President Trump has urged unity, defending Bondi while calling on his supporters to move past the issue. Still, some, like MAGA activist Laura Loomer, demand an independent investigation, questioning the administration’s transparency in handling Epstein-related files.
