Mansel Carter Oasis Park Phase II set to open, and it's a fitness and fun fantasy

The 13-acre expansion of Mansel Carter Oasis Park Phase II has finally got an opening date.

Queen Creek, Arizona (Release): The 13-acre expansion of Mansel Carter Oasis Park Phase II has finally got an opening date. The ribbon-cutting will take place at at 7.30am on Wednesday, July 10 followed by a free tennis clinic from 7.45–8.45am. Located at 19535 E. Appleby Road, the new section includes tennis courts, volleyball courts, pickleball courts, additional restrooms and parking, and passive green space.

What will Phase II feature?

Phase II will feature six tennis courts, six sand volleyball courts, four Pickleball Courts, a Pump Track, a restroom building and a Passive Green Space. The expansion was designed by J2 Design and built by Haydon.

Who was Mansel Carter? 

Mansel Carter Oasis Park in Queen Creek, Arizona, is named after Mansel Carter, a local icon known as the 'Man of the Mountain'. Carter moved to the area in the 1940s, and worked as a gold prospector and woodworker. The Mansel Carter Oasis Park was established to honor Carter’s contributions to the community. It was officially opened to the public in 2018.

The Town also recently opened of Frontier Family Park, an 85-acre park located on Signal Butte, north of Queen Creek Road. The Town’s Recreation & Aquatic Center, slated to open in 2025, will also be located at Frontier Family Park.
