Phoenix, Arizona: The Grammy-winning ensemble Mariachi Los Camperos is all set to perform at the Musical Instrument Museum on Saturday, July 13 at 5pm and 7.30pm. Tickets range from  $54.50 to $64.50. You can buy your tickets here.

The Mariachi Los Camperos was founded in 1961 by Natividad 'Nati' Cano, a musician who sought to elevate the status and artistry of mariachi music. Based in Los Angeles, California, the group quickly gained acclaim for its skill, performances, and dedication to the traditions of mariachi.

Mariachi Los Camperos has collaborated with numerous artists, including Linda Ronstadt on her Grammy Award-winning album 'Canciones de Mi Padre', which helped introduce mariachi to a broader audience. They also appear on Ronstadt’s sequel album, 'Mas Canciones', which was released in 1992, and toured with the singer nationwide.

Nati Cano died on October 3, 2014, passing on the group to the current musical director, Jesus 'Chuy' Guzman. The current lineup is: Jesús Guzmán (director), Raul Cuellar, Ernesto Lázaro, Ismael Hernández, Javier Rodríguez, Jonathan Palomar, Juan Jiménez, and Sergio Alonso.

Mariachi Los Camperos won its first Grammy award in 2009 in the Best Regional Mexican Album category for 'Amor, Dolor Y Lágrimas: Música Ranchera', and then again in the Best Regional Mexican Music Album (Including Tejano) category for 'De Ayer Para Siempre'. They have also been nominated twice in 2006 and 2016.
