Phoenix, Arizona: The mystery of the body found on along train tracks has thickened after police confirmed that the victim was not killed by a train. The body was discovered on the tracks near 20th Street and Jackson, just west of Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.

The body was found by a westbound Union Pacific train, leading to a disruption in train traffic from Phoenix to Tucson. Train 64, 91 had to be stopped, and rail workers were required to separate train cars to allow police access to the scene. According to authorities, the victim was already deceased when they arrived, but the injuries sustained did not align with being struck by a train.

The crossing gates in the area were down for nearly 12 hours as investigators worked to determine the circumstances surrounding the death. While some witnesses at the scene speculated to Fox10 Phoenix that the body may have been dumped, police have not yet confirmed this theory.

The incident caused a temporary halt in freight movement along the line, with trains backed up all the way to Tucson. However, rail traffic has since resumed, and trains are once again moving through the area.

As of now, the identity of the victim and further details about the cause of death remain unknown.
