Scottsdale to host movie night at a very unusual location
Scottsdale, Arizona: Scottsdale is proving that airports are for more than just take offs and landings. Scottsdale Airport is hosting a movie night under the stars with a showing of the hilarious will Ferrell-starrer 'Elf'. Hosted by Volanti Restaurant and Lounge, movie night takes place Saturday, November 23.
"We are excited to welcome the community back for our second movie night at Scottsdale Airport," Aviation Director Gary P Mascaro said. "We heard a lot of positive feedback after our first movie night and knew we needed to provide more opportunities for the community to visit the airport in this unique way."
Gates open at 5pm and the movie starts at 6pm at Scottsdale Airport, 15000 N. Airport Drive, Scottsdale, AZ 85260. Visitors to movie night are requested to follow event signs and enter at the gate on the north side of the main aviation building. There is free parking available across from the main aviation building. Entry is free and no reservation required.
Guests are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs (seating won't be provided) and keep an eye out for Santa, who just might make an appearance. Beyond the movie, there will be food trucks and beer and wine available for purchase, a static plane display, and a fire truck presentation. Pets and outside food and beverages wil not be permitted.
