Tel Aviv, Israel: Hamas released a propaganda video late Saturday showing two Israeli hostages, Yosef Chaim Ohana and Elkana Bohbot, appearing to be held underground in Gaza. The footage features Ohana pleading for help as she describes Bohbot’s worsening health.

“What do you expect? I don’t understand,” Ohana says tearfully. “What will happen when we run out of medical infusions? What will happen when I can’t be by his side anymore?”

Identifying herself and Bohbot as hostages number 21 and 22—referencing Israel’s acknowledgment that 21 captives are confirmed alive—she announces a hunger strike, declaring, “My friend’s fate is my own fate.” The Missing Hostages and Families Forum confirmed the families approved the video’s release.

Meanwhile, protests in Tel Aviv saw demonstrators urging U.S. President Donald Trump to intervene. Signs reading “TRUMP BE THEIR SAVIOR” and “TRUMP, WE TRUST YOU” reflected frustration with current Israeli leadership, with some protesters believing Trump would more aggressively push for a ceasefire and hostage deal. One sign even read, “Not even Trump gives a shit about our tyrant.”

Public opinion in Israel appears divided. A Channel 12 News poll found 61% of Israelis support a hostage deal and ending the war, while only 25% back expanding military operations. Despite this, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to intensify strikes on Gaza, warning Hamas, “The rules are about to change very soon.”
