Washington D.C.: In what can be construed as another attack on press freedom, the Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has said the Trump administration would be “aggressively pursuing” people who leak information to journalists.

Gabbard, without any hint of irony, claimed such acts were “politically motivated".

Gabbard had no hesitation naming the 'errant' media outlets.

“Our nation’s Intelligence Community must be focused on our national security mission. Politically motivated leaks undermine our national security and the trust of the American people, and will not be tolerated,” Gabbard wrote on X.

“Unfortunately, such leaks have become commonplace with no investigation or accountability.  That ends now. We know of and are aggressively pursuing recent leakers from within the Intelligence Community and will hold them accountable.”

Gabbard had no hesitation naming the 'errant' media outlets that relied on "anonymous" sources in their reporting: She called out The Washington Post, NBC News, HuffPost and The Record.
