Pool Party
Dive into the fun with swimming, groove to the beats of a live DJ and enjoy a foamy, bubbly, party atmosphere at McDowell Mountain Ranch Park. Explore booths with information on Scottsdale's Parks and Recreation programs and discover more exciting activities. Bring the family, make a splash and celebrate National Park and Recreation Month.

Sunset Swim
There's very little more romantic than watching the sun set as you dip in a pool, so why miss this opportunity to do just that. On Saturday, July 20, head down to the Eldorado Aquatuc Center for a sunset swim from 6-9pm.

Cost: Residents: $3 for children/$4 for adults; Non-residents: $4 for children/$6 for adults
Looks like it's a Luau
The whole family is invited down to Eldorado Aquatic Center for a fun and informative evening about water safety. Learn to do the hula, limbo and enjoy the waterpark while learning all about CPR and even a mock rescue by the aquatic staff. And what's more, the event is free.

Wait! I don't know how to swim
Worry not, because during Drowning Impact Awareness Month, Scottsdale Aquatics will be offering free swim lessons at Cactus, Eldorado and McDowell Mountain Ranch aquatic centers in August. Registration for August swim lessons opens at 8am Tuesday, July 23, for Scottsdale residents, and Thursday, July 25, for non-residents.
Scottsdale needs lifeguards
Scottsdale Aquatics, Cactus Aquatic Center will be hosting a lifeguard certification class in July. This lifeguard class will be a blended learning style, with an online and in-person component. Orientation will take place from noon–2pm Monday, July 22, and in-person training will begin the week of July 29. You can sign up here.
There will also be a 'Special duty pay' during the peak summer season till September 7, 2024. Base pay will increase to: Lifeguard/Instructor $16.00/hour, Head Lifeguard $17.50/hour, Assistant Pool Manager $19.00/hour. Also 100% of the StarGuard certification class will be reimbursed after 90 days of employment and there is a $200 employee Referral Bonus.
