TEMPE, ARIZONA: Vice Mayor Doreen Garlid will chair the new Maricopa Associate of Governments (MAG) Community Initiatives Coordinating Committee (CICC.)

This new committee brings together the work from three previous committees that focused on human services and domestic violence. Now, CICC will provide strategic planning for MAG's human services efforts.

"Improving the quality of life for our most vulnerable residents is so important," she said. "This committee can make a real impact on helping the Greater Phoenix Area lift those who need assistance."
