It's Park and Recreation Month and Queen Creek has got it all going on
Queen Creek, Arizona: If it's June it must be 'Park and Recreation Month'. The National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) has adopted the theme 'Where You Belong' to highlight the many ways parks and recreation foster a sense of belonging in the community.
The Town of Queen Creek -- which offers award-winning parks, an extensive trail system with the Queen Creek and Sonoqui washes and the Trails at Horseshoe Park -- has joine din the fun. To celebrate the Month, the Recreation Division of Queen Creek is hosting a variety of activities
Root Beer Floats with Recreation
When: Tuesday, July 9 from 6-8pm
Where: Library Recreation Annex

Official opening of Mansel Carter Oasis Park Phase II
When: Wednesday, July 10 at 7.30am
A short ceremony will be held followed by a free tennis clinic from 7.45–8.45am at the 13-acre expansion of Mansel Carter Oasis Park. Located at 19535 E. Appleby Road, the new section includes tennis courts, volleyball courts, pickleball courts, additional restrooms and parking, and passive green space.
QC Splash Pad Party
When: Friday, July 12 from 6-8pm
Where: Mansel Carter Oasis Park
The community is invited to join the Parks and Recreation team at the Splash Pad for a night of splashing, music, and fun. Refreshments will be available for purchase through onsite food trucks. Admission is free, nominal charges for food.
