Elon Musk's father claims to know the real reason he went off the rails with Donald Trump

Washington D.C.: Elon Musk is suffering "PTSD from the White House" and now believes he "made a mistake" supporting Donald Trump’s reelection, his father, Errol Musk, claimed during a visit to Moscow. The elder Musk spoke to pro-Putin media just days after a public feud erupted between his son and the U.S. president.
The Tesla CEO, who donated millions to Trump’s campaign and served as a White House advisor, recently clashed with the president over tax policies. Musk also made—then deleted—a controversial post on X suggesting Trump appeared in Jeffrey Epstein-related files, a claim the White House denied. Trump declared their relationship "over", refusing reconciliation.
Errol Musk, 79, likened the fallout to a "marriage going wrong", saying his son was exhausted and politically inexperienced. "Elon made a mistake," he said, adding that both men, stressed from months of governing, turned on each other. "They are the only two people left in the arena," he told Kremlin-linked outlets.

Meanwhile, Russian officials, including Dmitry Medvedev and Dmitry Rogozin, jokingly offered Musk asylum, praising his innovations. Errol, visiting Moscow for a forum tied to Putin allies, called the city "majestic" and dismissed negative Western portrayals.
The feud escalated after reports surfaced of a physical altercation between Musk and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent at the White House. According to Steve Bannon, the two traded insults and shoves after Trump sided with Bessent in a policy dispute. Trump later dismissed Musk, warning of "serious consequences" if he supports Democrats in future elections.
